Fix Your Broken Washer Control Board for CHEAP! How to Use an ESR Meter for Board Repair

Is it possible to repair a washer control board? YES! You may be surprised at the cost of repairing an appliance control board like a refrigerator control board. I want to show you how to use an ESR meter on how to find bad capacitors on a control board. In the video, we test a Whirlpool Washer control Board, and a Samsung Refrigerator Inverter Board with the ESR Meter. This is an introductory video that shows why you’d want to buy an ESR meter.

At the end of the video, I also add in a little about how to find a bad relay on a dryer control board, since I had one available. I hope this video gives you some guidance and ideas on how to deal with the meter and how checking capacitors works.

great info, but not worth the time and effort and soldering. personally i would rather buy a new board and put it in and get a warranty for the board

  2. This is awesome…Appreciate the intel.!!!😎

  3. Thank-you for this video! Found similar mystery board issue affecting lights, signals, safety stops on my family’s medium sized tractor…how does one verify the existing board is the problem, with or without a schematic?

  4. where do you have the video on how to remove the rubber coating on LG samsung washer and dryer boards?

  5. What’s up Ben , love your content and really inspired to start a new career in this field. I have a favor to ask if you if possible . I have a whirlpool washer control board and I mistakenly burnt the big resistor that connects to the diode pair . I’m in good faith that nothing else took a hit other the then the resistor . I was wondering if you could tell me the value of that resistor? The color bands on my are not able to be used and the ones I found on line don’t show it cleanly enough.
